So it's been more than a month since I have started my raw lifestyle and about three since I restarted CrossFit. I have lost 23 pounds and feel really good.
Since Friday was Canada Day, I didn't make it my CrossFit class. I am excited for tomorrow to get a good workout in. I find when I am at CrossFit I remotivate myself to stick to what I have been doing.
I have also been experimenting with sprouting in my kitchen. I am sprouting some mung beans, radish seeds and lentils. They should be done today or tomorrow, I hope. As I stick with the raw lifestyle I find I am open to trying more things. And I am going through notches on my belt too.
When I do eat something that is not raw and full of enzymes, I feel it. I drink a lot of green juice from my juicer. Mostly spinach juice. I have started developing cravings for spinach juice. My daughter loves drinking spinach juice too.

Twenty pounds down, but a lot more to go
So here is the beginning to my blog. I have been heavy most of my life and I have wanted to change that for as long as I can remember. Although I have always been big, I have always been healthy. Even during pregnancy I never faced high blood pressure or other complications that people assumed would plague someone of my size.
But healthy or not. I know my weight needs to change in order for me to stay healthy.
I am 29 years and and have an 18-month old daughter.
For the past couple months I have been going to CrossFit Vancouver Island and I already feel a difference in my body. I feel much stronger and after every workout I feel so much more proud of myself.
While exercise is important diet also plays an important role in things too. After some research I decided to jump into a raw food diet. I figured that I needed to eat foods in a form that would make my body operate better. Since being on a raw food diet, about 80 per cent raw, I have lost 15 pounds in three weeks.
So from my highest weight from just a few months ago, I am down 20 pounds. At this point I am still not comfortable publishing my weight, maybe down the road I'll feel more comfortable doing so.
